Product description

A gabion is a 3-dimensional construction of double-twisted hexagonal mesh net, made of heavily zinc-coated steel wire and used to provide soil stabilisation, bracing and reinforcement. For demanding applications, or for use in water, an additional coating of plastic is also applied.

Its typical construction is like a rectangular box, divided into several partitions. Once erected, individual gabions are connected to each other in different configurations and then filled with stones of fractions exceeding 100 mm. Gabions have been used in the construction industry for many years to provide site reinforcement and erosion protection.
